Summer snackin’

I’m a spring/ summer person. I’m not talking about Louisiana July-September summer either, that’s just suffocating. I’m talking about the birdsong chirping enthusiastically early morning into midday, doors and windows open, the sound of cicadas all day on the coasts of the Mediterranean, the flowers blooming as if they’re competing with each other, saying “look at me! I’m the prettiest!” That’s when I feel most alive and in bloom too. Some people love fall. I don’t dislike it, there’s just something about nature coming back to life that I find inspiring and sensual. Spring is sexy! It’s also a time when I crave simple food, such as an array of snacks arranged prettily on a cutting board or platter. Here’s a bit of inspiration with a recipe for a little something extra if you’re looking to take your board to the next level.
